SUMMARY:Butler VS. Hiseni
DESCRIPTION:It’s time for revenge for Eye of the Tiger. After seeing Ramadan Hiseni upset Shamil Khataev and Alexandre Gaumont\, two-time world title challenger Steven Butler will look to restore EOTTM’s honor against the Swiss contender in a WBA Continental super middleweight championship bout on March 5 at the Casino de Montréal. \n“Hiseni represents a big risk—I know that better than anyone. For me and EOTTM\, this is a revenge fight\, but for Steven\, it’s his chance to prove he’s a serious contender at super middleweight\,” said Camille Estephan\, president of the Montreal-based promotion. \n“Hiseni has already caused two upsets in Quebec. It’s clear we can’t take him lightly—but enough is enough. On March 5\, the job will get done. If he’s expecting the same result as the first two times\, he’s the one who will be surprised\,” promised Butler. \nMontreal puncher Steven “Bang Bang” Butler (37-5-1\, 31 KOs) is more dangerous than ever since moving up to super middleweight. Over the past year\, he has fought three times\, earned three victories\, and scored three knockouts—most notably winning a rematch against Jose Macias and a local showdown against Stéphane Fondjo. Seeking a fourth straight win\, the 30-year-old veteran is determined not to fall into the same trap as his EOTTM teammates as he prepares for the 44th fight of his career. \n“I believe moving up to super middleweight was the best decision Steven has made in his entire career. Over the last three fights\, I’ve seen him reborn in the gym. He’s stronger\, more powerful\, and has better stamina. He has a champion’s mindset\, and now he has all the tools to become one\,” added Butler’s trainer\, John Scully. \nPride of Zurich\, Switzerland\, Ramadan Hiseni (22-2-2\, 8 KOs) is far from unfamiliar territory as he approaches his third fight in Quebec. In June 2024\, Hiseni spoiled the EOTTM debut of Shamil Khataev by fighting him to a 10-round draw at the Casino de Montréal. Believing he deserved the win\, he rolled up his sleeves and returned to Quebec to challenge Alexandre Gaumont last December. This time\, he left no doubt\, winning by unanimous decision and handing Gaumont the first defeat—and first knockdown—of his career. \n“As with Khataev and Gaumont\, my mindset is the same: veni\, vidi\, vici. I expect the result to be the same as well. To boxing fans around the world: I promise a high-level fight\, and above all\, I promise victory on March 5\,” said Hiseni\, who already has four bouts at super middleweight. \nIn the co-main event\, top-3 WBA world-ranked contender Lenar Perez (15-0\, 14 KOs) will make his long-awaited EOTTM debut. He will vie for the WBC Continental light heavyweight title against the indestructible African veteran Isaac Chilemba (27-10-3\, 11 KOs). Like Hiseni\, this will be Chilemba’s third fight in Quebec. In March 2015\, he handed Vasily Lepikhin his first loss on the undercard of the first Sergey Kovalev–Jean Pascal bout. That November\, he dropped a hotly contested majority decision to Eleider Alvarez. Known for his durability\, the former world title challenger has been stopped only twice in 40 fights. He is also the only man to have gone the distance with feared Osleys Iglesias\, in a 12-round bout in Poland in 2022. \nAdding a fourth championship bout to the card\, WBC Continental super lightweight champion Jhon “El Tigre” Orobio (16-0\, 14 KOs) will make his third title defense against Puerto Rican contender Yomar Alamo (22-5-1\, 13 KOs). Starting the year ranked No. 15 in the WBC world rankings\, Orobio will be seeking a fourth straight knockout after stopping former world champion Xolisani Ndongeni in the second round of their November bout. However\, the Marc Ramsay protégé must beware of “The Magic” Alamo. The 28-fight veteran has delivered competitive performances against Breyon Gorham\, Jamaine Ortiz\, and top prospect Delante “Tiger” Johnson. In 2021\, he even came within one round of upsetting future world champion Liam Paro\, flooring him in the opening round. \nAlso on the card\, former world title challenger Steve “The Dragon” Claggett (39-8-2\, 27 KOs) will make a highly anticipated return after spending 2025 sidelined by injury. EOTTM’s 2024 Prospect of the Year and author of the 2025 EOTTM Knockout of the Year\, Moreno “The Soldier” Fendero (13-0\, 10 KOs)\, will also be back in another scheduled 10-round bout.

SUMMARY:Unal VS. Zogaj
DESCRIPTION:Due to a medical issue in Albert Ramirez’s camp\, the intriguing matchup between undefeated boxers Mehmet Unal (14–0\, 12 KOs) and European champion Altin Zogaj (17–0\, 9 KOs)\, still in the light heavyweight division (175 lbs)\, will now headline the event. \nA representative of Turkey at the Rio Olympic Games in 2016\, Mehmet Unal signed with Eye of the Tiger in 2021 as he turned professional. Now living full-time in Montreal\, where he is trained by Marc Ramsay\, he will make his second defense of the WBC Continental title against Zogaj. The powerful puncher is also ranked ninth in the WBC world rankings and will be seeking the biggest win of his career — in his first main event — against Germany’s Altin Zogaj. \nIn the co-main event\, two titles will be on the line. Two-time Olympian Dzmitry Asanau (11-0\, 5 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental title against Spain’s champion Carlos Ramos (18-3-1\, 10 KOs). Born in Belarus\, based in Dubai\, and training in Montreal\, Asanau has enjoyed a meteoric rise since signing with EOTTM. Climbing the world rankings at breakneck speed\, the Samuel Décarie-Drolet protégé is currently ranked No. 4 by the WBC and No. 11 by the IBF.  \nAlso in action\, Thetford Mines favorite Thomas Chabot (11-1\, 7 KOs) will look to return to the win column in a local matchup against Maritime puncher Dominic Babineau (13-2-1\, 11 KOs). This bout will be Chabot’s first scheduled for 10 rounds and will also mark his debut at featherweight (126 lb)\, having recently decided to drop down a division. \nAt lightweight\, Canadian Olympic medalist Wyatt Sanford (5-0\, 2 KOs) will face Alexis Gabriel Camejo (10-5-2\, 1 KO) in a six-round contest. Well known to Quebec fans\, Camejo is one of only two fighters to have gone the distance with highly touted Colombian prospect Jhon Orobio\, and he has also heard the final bell against Dzmitry Asanau. Longueuil’s pride Dante Tice (1-0) will face Argentine’s veteran Gonzalo Manriquez in 4-round junior middleweight clash. Finally\, in a 4-round bout at 175 lb\, Montrealer and former member of Canada’s national team Keven Beausejour (1-0\, 1 KO) will make his Quebec debut against Czech boxer Petr Strnad (4-3-2\, 2 KOs).

SUMMARY:Gaumont VS. Hiseni
DESCRIPTION:Alex Gaumont against Ramadan Hiseni\, Imam Khataev vs Adam Deines… And 7 explosive fights on December 11! \nThe Outaouais region will get the best of international boxing on December 11\, as Olympic medalist Imam Khataev defends his NABF light-heavyweight title against former world title challenger Adam Deines at Casino Lac-Leamy. The bout will be featured as the co-main event to the clash between Buckingham’s pride\, Alexandre Gaumont\, and Swiss contender Ramadan Hiseni in Gatineau. \n“I remember watching the world championship fight between Artur Beterbiev and Adam Deines four years ago. I absolutely cannot underestimate him. I also know that boxing fans\, just like me\, know that the judges should have given me the win against David Morrell in New York\, but I plan to remind everyone who the real champion is in Gatineau\, with a spectacular and flawless performance\,” promised the powerful puncher nicknamed “The Destroyer\,” Imam Khataev\, currently in training camp at the Pound 4 Pound Boxing Club in Montréal. \nRanked 7th in the world at light heavyweight by the World Boxing Council (WBC) and the International Boxing Federation (IBF)\, Imam Khataev (10-1\, 9 KOs) was originally set to face top-10 world contender Richard Rivera\, before an injury forced the American to withdraw. The new matchup against Adam Deines (24-3-1\, 14 KOs) promises to be just as — if not more — interesting. The German’s only three losses came against elite competition: a 12-round eliminator against Fanlong Mang\, an 11-round unified world championship bout against Artur Beterbiev\, and an 8-round fight against EOTTM protégé and now interim world champion Albert Ramirez. Two athletes with proven track records on the big stage will therefore face off in Gatineau in a fight that could once again propel the winner to the sport’s highest level. \nOlympian Simon Kean and EOTTM prospect Thomas Chabot were forced to withdraw from the event due to injuries. Despite this\, Punching Grace will still broadcast a seven-fight card as planned\, featuring several local athletes\, on December 11 starting at 6:30 p.m. \nThe pride of Saint-André-Avellin and former world champion\, Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (7-2\, 1 KO)\, will make her long-awaited return—after more than 16 months of absence. She is scheduled for an eight-round fight (or less) against American boxer and former bare-knuckle fighter Sonya Dreiling (7-9\, 2 KO). This will mark Lepage-Joanisse’s debut in the super-middleweight division (168 lb)\, after having won the WBC world title at 175 lb in 2024. \nIn a ten-round lightweight bout\, EOTTM prospect Avery Martin Duval (14-0-1\, 8 KO) will attempt to continue his rise as he faces Romanian veteran and former European champion James Chereji (22-7\, 10 KO). \nAlso on the card\, in the cruiserweight division\, Montrealer and Mike Moffa protégé Ayoub Maanni (3-0\, 3 KO) will try to keep his perfect record intact against Calgary boxer Anton Tokarchuk (1-2). In a super-featherweight fight\, Boisbriand sensation and four-time Canadian amateur champion Victor Tremblay (1-0\, 1 KO) will take on Alberta’s Wade Hodgson\, who is making his professional debut. And kicking off the event\, in the welterweight division\, Ontario-based boxer and Three Lions Promotions protégé Vadym Klym (1-0) will meet Western Canadian fighter Michael Parker (5-1\, 2 KO) in a third bout scheduled for four rounds.

SUMMARY:Butler VS. Fondjo
DESCRIPTION:A new injury to Erik Bazinyan has forced EOTTM to revise the main event for November 13. However\, the main event will remain 100% local\, as Montreal’s Stéphane Fondjo will step up to face two-time world title challenger Steven “Bang Bang” Butler at the Casino de Montréal. \n“I’ve been away from my family for weeks\, making sacrifices to prepare for my fight against Erik Bazinyan. If he can’t fight\, that’s his problem\, but I never back down — there was no way I wasn’t fighting on November 13. I’m not afraid of anyone\, and for once\, I’ll be facing an opponent just as hungry as I am. Fans will still get a great local fight\, but in the end\, I’m going to remind everyone — including Fondjo — that I belong on the international level\,” said Steven Butler (36-5-1\, 30 KOs)\, who is finishing the final weeks of his training camp in Connecticut. \nMontrealer Stéphane Fondjo (14-1-1\, 9 KOs)\, originally from Cameroon\, was also already in training camp for a fight scheduled on November 8. Standing over 6’3”\, he was serving as Shakeel Phinn’s main sparring partner ahead of Phinn’s important fight next Thursday against Wilkens Mathieu. Having previously sparred with Christian Mbilli\, Moreno Fendero\, and several other Eye of the Tiger fighters\, Fondjo sees this bout as an opportunity to prove that he\, too\, belongs among the elite — not just in the gym\, but in the ring. \n“To accomplish great things\, you sometimes have to suffer. I left my family behind eight years ago to cross the Atlantic and one day give them a better life. Every day since\, I’ve made sacrifices to achieve that goal. I respect Steven Butler\, but I’ve suffered enough to get here and earn this opportunity. So once we’re in the ring on November 13\, it’ll be him who suffers\,” promised Stéphane Fondjo. \n“Steven Butler is a high-level boxer who’s never turned down a challenge. He’s proving that once again\, and I respect him for it. Both camps will bring the will to win\, but beyond toughness\, I believe Stéphane’s youth and superior athleticism will make the difference\,” said Butler’s trainer\, Ian MacKillop. \nAlthough an intriguing all-local main event remains in place — and the health of athletes remains EOTTM’s top priority — the team cannot hide its disappointment over this third cancellation. \n“I won’t hide it: our entire team is extremely disappointed. And we’re even more so for our fans\, who have been waiting for this fight for months. Our athletes’ health will always be a priority\, but after three consecutive injuries\, it’s clear we’ll need to sit down with Erik to evaluate the next steps in his career\,” said EOTTM President Camille Estephan. \nThe rest of the strong November 13 card\, now headlined by #ButlerFondjo\, remains unchanged. In his first career co-main event\, Montreal-based Jhon Orobio (15-0\, 13 KOs) will make his first defense of his WBC Continental Super Lightweight Title against former world champion Xolisani Ndongeni (33-7\, 19 KOs). \nOn the undercard\, Quebec’s Luis Santana (14-0\, 7 KOs) will face Portugal’s Pedro Manuel Gomes (13-3\, 3 KOs)\, who is coming off a win over Canadian champion Mark Smither. EOTTM’s Prospect of the Year\, Moreno Fendero (12-0\, 10 KOs)\, will fight in his first scheduled 10-round bout against American puncher William Langston (14-4-1\, 9 KOs). Canadian Olympic medalist Wyatt Sanford (4-0\, 2 KOs) will meet Czech fighter Petr Novak (3-0-1\, 2 KOs) in a clash of undefeated boxers. Rising prospect Erik Israyelyan (2-0\, 2 KOs) will continue his development against Chile’s Mario Esparza (2-1). Finally\, Trois-Rivières native Daylen Pepin will make his professional debut in an all-Quebec bout against Alexendre Giraldeau Perron (2-1\, 1 KO).

SUMMARY:Spencer VS. Mayer
DESCRIPTION:There will be two main events at the Casino de Montréal on October 30. WBA super-welterweight world champion Mary Spencer will face American two-division world champion and pound-for-pound great Mikaela Mayer in one of the most significant women’s boxing matches ever held in Canada. Then\, in a high-stakes local clash with two titles on the line\, young sensation Wilkens Mathieu will take on Quebec warrior Shakeel Phinn in a highly anticipated super-middleweight clash. \n“Last year\, Mikaela Mayer headlined at Madison Square Garden. This fall\, she’ll be here at the Casino de Montréal. That proves Quebec boxing belongs in the big leagues — and that Mary Spencer doesn’t back down from adversity. Her world title is on the line that night\, and I have no doubt she’s ready to go to war to keep it\,” said Eye of the Tiger president Camille Estephan. \n“Never in a thousand years did I think I’d get the chance to fight Mikaela Mayer. I’ve followed her career a lot\, and as a fan\, I love her style — but what excites me most is that our styles mesh so well that this will be a truly memorable fight. Saying I’m excited is an understatement\, and I hope the fans are too\, because this will be epic\,” promised world champion Mary Spencer. \nA Canadian Olympian at the London Games and a three-time amateur world champion\, Montreal-based Mary Spencer (10-2\, 6 KOs) has developed into a top-level pro. Last September\, she won the WBA super-welterweight world title against Germany’s Naomi Mannes. This past April\, she successfully defended it by dominating former two-time world champion Ogleidis Suarez over 10 rounds\, despite a serious hand injury. Now fully recovered\, Spencer is more determined than ever to win her third straight world title fight. \nAcross the ring\, Mikaela Mayer (21-2\, 5 KOs)\, will be in the unusual position of challenger. An Olympian at the Rio Games\, the Top Rank-promoted native of Los Angeles has held the WBO\, IBF\, and The Ring super featherweight titles. She later moved up to lightweight\, capturing the interim WBC title\, and in September 2024\, won the WBO welterweight world title at The Theater at Madison Square Garden with a hard-fought majority decision over Sandy Ryan. She defended that belt in March\, topping Ryan by unanimous decision in their rematch. \n“I couldn’t get the undisputed fight with Lauren Price\, so rather than take an easy touch\, I looked for the next best challenge\,” Mikaela Mayer said. “Beating Mary Spencer at 154 pounds will make me a three-division world champion\, and although I may be on the smaller side\, I have the necessary skills and experience. I’ll dethrone Mary and then head back down to welterweight to challenge Price. I will be stronger\, sharper\, and better than ever.” \nWhile the Spencer vs. Mayer bout features two established champions\, the Wilkens Mathieu (14-0\, 10 KOs) vs. Shakeel Phinn (27-3-2\, 17 KOs) clash will feature two fighters with something to prove. \n“This is clearly the biggest test of my career — but that doesn’t mean I’ll be tested\,” said a confident Wilkens Mathieu\, a rising EOTTM star and Ring Magazine ambassador. “People always say boxing is about levels\, and on September 30\, I’m going to show everyone — including Shakeel Phinn — that he’s not on mine.” \n“People think this will be a tough fight\, but for Wilkens it’ll look easy. Expect a highlight-reel KO on October 30\,” added his trainer\, Montreal’s Giuseppe Moffa. Mathieu will fight for the NABF and WBC Continental Americas super-middleweight titles. \nBut being the underdog has never intimidated Shakeel Phinn. In May 2024\, “The Jamaican Juggernaut” stepped into the ring at the Casino de Montréal against another undefeated EOTTM fighter\, Erik Bazinyan. Despite being a heavy 8-to-1 underdog\, Phinn shocked everyone by fighting to a draw — a result he believes should have gone in his favor. Determined not to leave anything to the judges this time\, Phinn returns to the Casino with a clear mission. \nAlso on the October 30 card\, three other champions will be in action. Top-10 super-lightweight contender Arthur Biyarslanov (19-0\, 16 KOs) will make his fourth NABF title defense. Top-15 light heavyweight contender Mehmet Unal (13-0\, 11 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental title for the first time\, and top-20 welterweight contender Christopher Guerrero (15-0\, 9 KOs) will make his second defense of the WBC Continental title. Fan favorite Thomas Chabot (11-0\, 8 KOs) will also return to action\, while rising junior amateur world champion Erik Israyelyan (2-0\, 2 KOs) will look to keep his flawless record intact.

SUMMARY:Iglesias VS. Shishkin
DESCRIPTION:EOTTM will present a fight of unprecedented magnitude at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal on September 4. Osleys “El Tornado” Iglesias\, already the IBO world champion\, will face Russian contender Vladimir Shishkin in an IBF eliminator. This highly anticipated clash will headline the event in Quebec and be broadcast around the world — starting at 6:30 p.m. — on Punching Grace. \n“In my eyes\, this is the most important fight ever held at the Casino. The super middleweight division is currently the most competitive in boxing\, and we’ll have the IBF’s top two contenders in the ring\, on our turf\, with a potential fight against ‘Canelo’ Alvarez on the line. We’re raising the bar once again\,” proudly stated Eye of the Tiger president Camille Estephan. \nCurrently holding the IBO world title\, Osleys Iglesias (13-0\, 12 KOs) has been making waves since signing with EOTTM. In 2024 alone\, he secured four knockout victories over Marcelo Coceres\, Evgeny Shvedenko\, Sena Agbeko\, and Petro Ivanov — all delivered in dominant\, even terrifying fashion. That said\, he has no intention of slowing down ahead of the biggest fight of his career\, and against the toughest opponent he’s faced yet. \n“The Tornado is unstoppable. On September 4\, I will be victorious\, defend my IBO title\, and become the IBF mandatory challenger. Step by step\, belt by belt\, I’ll be at the top very soon\,” promises Osleys Iglesias. \n“Osleys will remind everyone why he’s the most avoided and feared fighter in the sport. More importantly\, he’ll once again prove that he’s the best super middleweight in the world\,” adds the powerful Cuban’s manager\, Benedikt Poelchau. \nIf Iglesias wants to prove he’s the top fighter in his division\, he’ll have a golden opportunity to do so against one of the most established and dangerous contenders in the weight class. Vladimir Shishkin (16-1\, 10 KOs) won his first 16 professional fights against notable opponents such as Najib Mohammedi\, DeAndre Ware\, Sena Agbeko\, and Jose Uzcategui. His only career loss came in his last outing\, in October\, when he dropped a controversial decision to William Scull in an IBF world title bout. \n“Iglesias vs. Shishkin is a fight between two of the best yet-to-be-discovered talents in the division. Shishkin lost a razor-thin decision to Scull\, and I’m proud that Salita Promotions was able to secure another major opportunity for him so quickly. Iglesias\, on the other hand\, is an incredible talent who has yet to be tested at the highest level. This matchup is a real treat for boxing fans\, and I’m pleased to be working alongside Camille and Eye of the Tiger — one of the premier organizations in the sport\,” said Salita Promotions president Dmitriy Salita. \nAlso on the card\, two-time Olympian Dzmitry Asanau (10-0\, 4 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental lightweight title\, as well as Jhon Orobio (14-0\, 12 KO) at super-lightweight. Avery Martin Duval (13-0-1\, 7 KOs) will enter the ring for his first scheduled 10-round bouts. EOTTM’s 2024 Prospect of the Year\, Moreno Fendero (11-0\, 9 KOs)\, will step into the ring for his fourth scheduled 8-round fight of 2025. Rising talents Wyatt Sanford (3-0\, 2 KOs) will also return in 6-round bout!

SUMMARY:Asanau VS. Patera
DESCRIPTION:April 10 will be a night of firsts. For the first time as the main event\, Dzmitry Asanau will defend his Continental Americas title\, Mary Spencer will make her first world title defense\, and Christopher Guerrero will compete in the first championship fight of his career. Kicking off the night\, Canadian Olympic medalist Wyatt Sanford and junior amateur world champion Erik Israyelyanwill make their highly anticipated professional debuts. \nLeading the charge\, WBC Continental Americas lightweight champion Dzmitry Asanau will defend his title for the first time in his debut as a main event\, taking on former European champion Francesco Patera. The event\, starting at 6:30 p.m.\, will be broadcast live on Punching Grace and ESPN+. \n“It’s exciting to defend my belt for the first time because it represents my continued rise in the division. It’s also a true privilege to do so as the main event of a gala. I want to thank my team for believing in me\, and I plan to reward EOTTM’s fans in attendance on April 10 with a great performance\,” said the two-time Olympian and 14th-ranked contender in the world\, Dzmitry Asanau. \nBack in November\, the Belarusian-born and UAE-adopted fighter Dzmitry Asanau (9-0\, 4 KOs) claimed the WBC Continental Americas title in style\, stopping Argentine puncher Matias Rueda in the fifth round—a performance voted “Fight of the Night” by fans. However\, on April 10\, the man nicknamed “The Wasp” will face a seasoned road warrior known for pulling off upsets abroad. \nFrancesco Patera (30-5\, 11 KOs) won the Belgian national title in 2015 and has since found success on the international stage. In 2017\, he shocked Edis Tatli in Finland to become European champion. The following year\, he handed England’s Lewis Ritson his first career loss in the UK to reclaim the European title. After three successful defenses and winning the WBO Intercontinental and WBO Global titles\, he faced current super lightweight world champion Keyshawn Davis. To this day\, Patera remains one of the few fighters to have gone the distance with the American sensation. A victory over Patera could be a defining moment for Asanau\, as Davis found himself in a world championship fight less than 20 months after facing the Belgian fighter. \nIn the co-main event\, WBA welterweight world champion Mary Spencer (9-2\, 6 KOs) will defend her title against experienced Venezuelan Ogleidis Suarez (31-5-1\, 15 KOs)\, who will be aiming for her third world title in a third weight class. This fight was originally scheduled as the co-main event on March 14 before an injury led to the cancellation of the event. \n“The date has changed\, but the goal remains the same. The bad news for my opponent is that I’ll be even better prepared on April 10\,” said Canadian Olympian Mary Spencer\, who is now training in Windsor under former world champion Kara Ro. \nOn the undercard\, world contender Christopher Guerrero (13-0\, 8 KOs) will fight in his first-ever championship bout this spring against hard-hitting Mexican Oliver Quintana (22-3\, 16 K.-O.). Already ranked 15th by the IBF at welterweight\, the charismatic Montreal fighter will have the chance to break into a second top-15 ranking as he competes for the WBC Continental Americas title. \n“Honestly\, I screamed when I found out. I pushed my coach Giuseppe Moffa\, jumped into Marc Ramsay’s arms\, and nearly broke everything in the office! Fighting for a title is a dream come true\, but the ultimate goal is a world championship\, so get used to seeing me with belts around my waist in the coming years. I’m already in the top 15\, but the real climb starts on April 10\,” said Christopher “Machine Gun” Guerrero. \nOriginally scheduled for March 14\, Quebec-based super lightweight prospect Jhon Orobio (12-0\, 11 KOs) will face the toughest test of his young career. Selected as one of The Ring Magazine’s “Rookies of the Year\,” “El Tigre” will take on veteran Argentine Sebastian Aguirre (19-6\, 12 KOs) in an eight-round fight. Aguirre is well known to local boxing fans\, having fought 27 rounds in Quebec against Luis Santana\, Steve Claggett\, and Mazlum Akdeniz. \nNicknamed “King Cogne\,” Alexandre Gaumont (12-0\, 8 KOs) will also face a tough test on April 10. The pride of Buckingham will go head-to-head with France’s Mathis Lourenco (13-5-3\, 6 KOs) in an eight-round bout. Lourenco\, a former French champion\, has proven his competitiveness in every outing\, including a draw against Marseille’s Bruno Surace\, an undefeated fighter who shocked the boxing world by knocking out Jaime Munguia last December. \nIn another scheduled eight-round fight\, EOTTM’s 2025 Prospect of the Year\, Moreno Fendero (9-0\, 7 KOs)\, will make his second appearance of the year. \nFinally\, Quebec fans will also get their first look at Erik Israyelyan\, who will make his professional debut on April 10. Signed in 2023\, the 21-year-old Armenian recently moved to Montréal. With his new team\, led by Samuel Décarie-Drolet\, the junior amateur world champion is ready to begin his quest for a professional title. \n“He’s a pressure fighter with power and explosiveness! Some fans may even find that his style resembles that of former world champion Leonard Dorin\,” said Samuel Décarie-Drolet\, whose protégé will compete in the super lightweight division.

SUMMARY:Biyarslanov VS. Mimoune
DESCRIPTION:The Gold Rush\n\nThe Rush for Gold will kick off Punching Grace’s 2025 season on February 6 with seven explosive bouts. Headlining the event\, NABF super lightweight champion Arthur Biyarslanov will face former world champion Mohamed Mimoune. Starting at 6:30 p.m.\, Albert Ramirez\, Mehmet Unal\, Christopher Guerrero\, Moreno Fendero\, and Avery Martin Duval will also be in action at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal\, with the event broadcast live on PunchingGrace.com and ESPN+. \nAt the heart of this exciting undercard\, in the co-feature of the evening\, Albert Ramirez (19-0\, 16 KOs) will defend his WBA International light heavyweight title in a 10-round championship bout against Croatian challenger Marko Calic (15-1\, 9 KOs). \nThe EOTTM protégé\, who defeated Artur Ziyatdinov and Adam Deines in 2024\, will face a tough test at the Cabaret du Casino. Marko Calic has only one professional loss\, which came against unbeaten interim WBO world champion Joshua Buatsi. Since then\, Calic has won his last four fights and recently participated in the Olympic qualifiers for the Paris Games. \n“Albert is ranked in the top 5 across all associations. It would be easy to wait for the call\, but as I often say\, we prefer to force the call by giving him real challenges like Calic so he can keep progressing\,” commented EOTTM president Camille Estephan. \nAnother major 10-round light heavyweight duel will feature on the undercard. Montreal-based Olympian from the Rio Games\, Mehmet Unal (11-0\, 9 KOs)\, will take a step up in competition against veteran and Beijing Olympic participant Ezequiel Maderna (31-13\, 21 KOs). This will be Maderna’s third trip to Montreal\, having delivered his best career performance against Imam Khataev last September and previously faced light heavyweight king Artur Beterbiev. \n“It’s a significant leap in competition for Mehmet. Maderna has faced everyone and is often the one who separates the real prospects from the pretenders\,” said trainer Marc Ramsay. \nThe night will also mark a milestone for two other EOTTM protégés. Montrealer and IBF #15 welterweight contender Christopher “Machine Gun” Guerrero (12-0\, 7 KOs) will fight his first scheduled 10-round bout against Denis “The Menace” Dauti (25-5-2\, 9 KOs). Originally from Greece but now representing Switzerland\, Dauti has fought across Europe and the Americas. He has never been stopped and is unbeaten in his last eight bouts. \nMoreno “The Soldier” Fendero (8-0\, 6 KOs)\, who recently won EOTTM’s 2024 Knockout of the Year and Prospect of the Year awards\, will make his debut in an 8-round bout. His opponent\, German Edison “The Illyrian” Demaj (13-3-1\, 7 KOs)\, aims to take “The Soldier” into uncharted territory\, having never been stopped in 17 professional fights. \nFinally\, opening the night in the lightweight division\, “The Future” Avery Martin Duval (12-0-1\, 7 KOs) will aim to remain undefeated against French prospect Keshan Koaly (6-1-1\, 2 KOs).

SUMMARY:Iglesias VS. Ivanov
DESCRIPTION:The Tornado’s Coming\nThe “Tornado” is approaching\, and soon it will be unavoidable. Osleys ‘El Tornado’ Iglesias\, ranked 7th by the IBF\, will defend his IBO super middleweight world title in a 12-round fight against undefeated Ukrainian contender Petro Ivanov on November 7. The event will take place at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal and will be broadcast live from 6:30 PM on Punchinggrace.com and ESPN+. \n“Osleys Iglesias is on the fast track because\, as seen in his recent performances\, he has quickly proven that he is ready for the toughest challenges. Petro Ivanov is one of them\,” revealed Eye of the Tiger president Camille Estephan. \nOsleys Iglesias (12-0\, 11 KOs) has been wreaking havoc since arriving in Quebec. In March\, he mystified Marcelo Coceres in the 1st round\, even though the tireless Argentine had gone 9\, 10\, and 11 rounds with Pacheco\, Berlanga\, and Saunders. In June\, the Tornado struck again in the 1st round\, this time against Evgeny Shvedenko. The Russian contender\, who had never been stopped before\, was knocked out so brutally that the KO is certain to be a finalist for KO of the Year. Then\, on August 17\, Iglesias stole the spotlight once again by securing the KO and the performance of the night\, stopping former world title contender Sena Agbeko in the 2nd round. Now\, with a 4th fight in just 8 months\, slowing down is certainly not part of his plan. \n“I’m happy to be fighting so often. Petro Ivanov is an undefeated guy who dreams of becoming a world champion. Most importantly\, he’s brave enough to step into the ring with me. I respect that\, but I’ll make sure to deliver yet another electrifying performance for the fans in Montreal and worldwide\,” said IBO world champion Osleys Iglesias\, who is also ranked 5th by the WBC. \nIn the opposite corner\, IBF International champion Petro Ivanov (18-0-2\, 13 KOs) is also looking to use this fight as a springboard. Having split his career between his native Ukraine and his adopted home of Germany\, the 28-year-old fighter remains undefeated in 20 bouts. In addition to the IBF International title\, he has also been a WBC International champion and the WBC Youth world champion. Furthermore\, he won’t be intimidated by the hostile Quebec crowd\, as in 2018\, he traveled to France to claim his first Youth title by knocking out the hometown favorite\, Louis Toutin\, who was undefeated at the time. \n“I’m looking forward to November 7. It’s an incredible opportunity to make my mark on the global stage. I know Iglesias is strong and hits hard\, but in our sport\, everyone is beatable. I’m going to train hard to ensure he’s no exception\, and when the fight is over\, the IBO world title will be in my bag on the way home\,” said Ukrainian contender Petro Ivanov\, who has won his last six fights before the final bell. \nIn the co-main event\, Montreal powerhouse Steven ‘Bang Bang’ Butler (34-5-1\, 28 KOs) will make his return to the ring against Argentinian brawler Fernando Farias (12-2-3\, 4 KOs). On a high-caliber undercard\, at 135 lbs\, two-time olympian and EOTTM prospect Dzmitry ‘The Wasp’ Asanau (8-0\, 3 KOs) will compete for his first title\, the WBC Continental Americas belt\, against former world title challenger and Argentine power puncher Matias Rueda (38-2\, 32 KOs). Top prospect Wilkens Mathieu (11-0\, 7 KOs) will also be in action against the super-tough Marcos Karalitzky (8-9-2\, 2 KOs)\, along with Jhon ‘El Tigre’ Orobio (11-0\, 10 KOs)\, who will open the event at 6:30 p.m. in an undefeated prospect clash against Italy’s Jacopo Colli (9-0-1\, 4 KOs).

SUMMARY:Gaumont VS. Viera
DESCRIPTION:The Passing of the Torch\n\nWhen Arthur Biyarslanov said he wouldn’t rest until he reached the top\, he meant it. Known as ‘The Wolf\,’ Biyarslanov will defend his NABF super lightweight title for the second time in two months on October 17 against Argentine veteran Jonathan ‘El Potro’ Eniz. This fight will serve as the co-main event of the Gaumont vs. Zarate clash\, headlining a nine-bout card starting at 6:00 PM on Punching Grace and ESPN+. \n  \n“I’ve said it before and I’ll say it again. I want a shot at the world title. One fight at a time\, but I know I will get that shot in 2025. October 17th will just bring me one step closer to my ultimate goal. I can’t wait!\,” said Biyarslanov (16-0\, 14 KOs)\, ranked 22nd in the WBC super lightweight division. \n  \nHis opponent\, Jonathan Eniz (35-20-1\, 16 KOs)\, brings a wealth of experience\, having logged over 340 professional rounds. Some of those rounds took place in Gatineau\, where the Argentine faced Steve ‘The Dragon’ Claggett in 2022. Never one to shy away from a challenge\, the South American champion has also squared off against former and future world champions\, including Subriel Matias\, and even pulled off a surprise victory over Cesar Cuenca. Eniz will be aiming for his fifth career win over an undefeated fighter when he meets Biyarslanov in the ring. \n  \nIn the main event\, Buckingham’s heavy-hitter Alexandre Gaumont (11-0\, 7 KOs) will look to deliver a career-defining performance in front of his hometown crowd\, as he faces off against Argentine brawler Cristian Zarate (10-4\, 3 KOs). \n  \nAlso featured in the lineup\, Steve ‘The Dragon’ Claggett (38-8-2\, 26 KOs)returns to action for the first time since his world title bout last June. Hungrier than ever\, the Calgary native—currently ranked 15th by the WBC at 140 lbs—will take on tough competitor Eduardo Estela (16-3\, 11 KOs).  \n  \nIn addition\, light heavyweight contender Mehmet Unal (10-0\, 8 KOs) faces the relentless German Armenak Hovhannisyan (14-4-1\, 6 KOs). Montreal’s Luis Santana (12-0\, 6 KOs) seeks his fifth consecutive knockout but faces his toughest challenge yet in Argentina’s Sebastian Aguire (19-5\, 12 KOs). EOTTM prospect Shamil Khataev (12-0-1\, 3 KOs) looks to secure his 13th career win\, and his first in Quebec\, against veteran Cristian Rafael Coria (30-10-2\, 14 KOs). Gatineau’s own warrior\, Pascal Villeneuve (4-2-1\, 2 KOs)\, makes his comeback after more than eight years away from the ring\, taking on Rafael Sosa Pintos (63-19\, 25 KOs). Finally\, kicking off the event\, Moreno Fendero (7-0\, 5 KOs)\, fresh off his KO of the night at the September gala\, aims to repeat his explosive performance against the battle-tested Pavel Albrecht (19-26\, 14 KOs). \n

SUMMARY:Biyarslanov VS. Kiliti
DESCRIPTION:Biyarslanov vs. Kiliti\n\n\nA logistical issue has forced Marcos Villasana to withdraw from his scheduled fight against Arthur Biyarslanov on September 5th. The NABF super lightweight champion will now defend his title against Hungarian champion Tamas Kiliti in a battle of undefeated fighters. The event will take place in front of a sold-out crowd at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal and will also be broadcast on Punching Grace and ESPN+ this Thursday\, starting at 6:30 PM. \n\n“The opponent may change\, but the goal remains the same\,” commented Arthur Biyarslanov (15-0\, 13 KOs)\, ranked 25th in the world by the WBC at 140 lbs\, as he prepares for his first NABF title defense. \n\nFacing him will be an opponent who is clearly not afraid of a challenge. Tamas Kiliti (10-0\, 6 KOs) comes to Quebec undefeated in ten fights\, just like Biyarslanov\, with around forty rounds of professional experience\, and at 29 years old. In 2022\, he won the Hungarian national title in just his fourth fight\, and in May of this year\, he also claimed the UBO Inter-Continental lightweight title. This will be his second fight outside his homeland\, having won in Romania in 2023. \n\nIn the light heavyweight division\, another NABF championship will be contested in the co-main event. IBF #10 and WBC #14 contender Imam Khataev (7-0\, 7 KOs) will face veteran Ezequiel Maderna (31-12\, 21 KOs) in a clash of former Olympians. Canadian Mary Spencer (8-2\, 6 KOs) will fight for the interim WBA world title at 154 lbs against German contender Naomi Mannes (7-2-1\, 4 KOs). \n\nEarlier in the evening\, Montreal’s Christopher Guerrero (11-0\, 6 KOs) will face Brooklyn’s Courtney Pennington (17-8-3\, 7 KOs). Jhon Orobio (10-0\, 9 KOs) will meet Joel Manriquez (6-5). Avery Martin Duval (11-0-1\, 7 KOs) will go toe-to-toe with Jesus Daneff (13-11-4\, 4 KOs). Wilkens Mathieu (10-0\, 6 KOs) will fight veteran Rolando Mansilla (19-15-1\, 9 KOs). And in the opening bout\, Moreno Fendero (6-0\, 4 KOs) will clash with Carlos Ronner (7-4\, 2 KOs).

DESCRIPTION:Mbilli vs. Derevyanchenko\nThe action will be non-stop at Quebec City’s Centre Vidéotron on August 17\, where boxing fans will witness 9 electrifying matchups\, including a potential Fight of the Year in the main event. Headlining the night\, Christian Mbilli (27-0\, 23 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental Americas and WBA International titles against three-time world title challenger Sergiy Derevyanchenko (15-5\, 10 KOs). \nThe evening’s co-main event will feature heavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov (19-1\, 18 KOs)\, who\, in pursuit of the biggest win of his career\, cannot afford any mistakes. Known as ‘The Lion\,’ and ranked 11th in the world by the WBC\, Makhmudov will face Top Rank’s prospect Guido ‘The Gladiator’ Vianello (12-2-1\, 10 KOs)\, ranked 35th globally. It promises to be a fierce battle\, as Makhmudov aims to silence the Rio Olympic participant who declared in an interview that the Montrealer would be an “easy fight.” \nAnother bout with international stakes: Eye of the Tiger’s protégé\, IBO super middleweight champion\, and WBC #5 and IBF #10 contender\, Osleys ‘El Tornado’ Iglesias (11-0\, 10 KOs)\, will go toe-to-toe with former world title challenger Sena ‘The African Assassin’ Agbeko (28-3\, 22 KOs). Iglesias\, whose last knockout victory went viral worldwide\, faces a significant challenge against a motivated\, more experienced Ghanaian opponent who has never been knocked down in his career. \nRanked 8th globally by the IBF and 11th by the WBC in the super featherweight division\, Leïla Beaudoin (11-1\, 1 KO) has a golden opportunity to make significant progress in the world rankings and move closer to a world championship fight\, as she could claim her first career title. The WBO International Super Featherweight belt will be on the line in her scheduled 10-round bout against former two-time world title challenger\, Bolivian Lizbeth Crespo (15-7\, 4 KOs). \nQuebec City native Wilkens Mathieu (9-0\, 6 KOs) will also face a tough challenge in his second career fight in front of his home crowd as he squares off against the tireless Facundo Galovar (15-11-2\, 9 KOs). Well-known to the Quebec public\, the Argentine has gone the distance with two world title contenders from Eye of the Tiger: Mehmet Unal and Albert Ramirez. \nThe spectacular Thomas ‘The Ghost’ Chabot (10-0\, 8 KOs) will look to continue his streak and win over the Capital Region fans in his first fight in the area as he takes on Matias Ezequiel Guenemil (10-3-1\, 5 KOs)\, who last fought in Quebec in 2022 against Avery Martin Duval. \nTwo of Top Rank’s most exciting American recruits will also be in action on August 17. Regarded as the organization’s top young prospect by its president Bob Arum\, Abdullah Mason (14-0\, 12 KOs) will face Mike ‘Bad Man’ Ohan Jr (19-2\, 9 KOs) in an 8-round bout. Meanwhile\, Queens\, New York’s Jahi Tucker (11-1-1\, 5 KOs) will take on Santiago Fernandez (8-1-1\, 4 KOs)\, who delivered a memorable battle against Alexandre Gaumont in Shawinigan last May. \nFinally\, in the evening’s opener\, two-time Olympian Dzmitry ‘The Wasp’ Asanau (7-0\, 3 KOs) will face former world title challenger Matias ‘Cobrita’ Rueda (38-2\, 32 KOs). Although it is undoubtedly the most important fight of his career\, the new EOTTM recruit will aim to deliver an electrifying performance and win the hearts of the Quebec public.

SUMMARY:Butler VS. Volny
DESCRIPTION:Last man standing\nPatrice Volny has sharply asserted his intention to live up to his nickname “Vicious” on June 6\, setting the stage for one of the most anticipated duels in the country in recent years; a showdown of national significance against Steven “Bang Bang” Butler. The two Montreal titans will clash in the arena of the Cabaret du Casino de Montreal in a bout scheduled for 10 rounds aimed at determining once and for all who owns the town. Furthermore\, with the WBC Francophone middleweight title also on the line\, the winner will once again be propelled onto the world stage. \nThis latest chapter of great Quebec rivalries will be broadcast starting at 7:00 PM on the Punching Grace and ESPN+ channels. \n“We’re talking about a local fight\, an international-scale fight\, and above all\, a fight our fans have been clamoring for for some time\, so we are more than happy to finally offer it to them. For our team\, it also fits into the desire to bring Steven Butler back to the top\, but this time\, by first cleaning up our own backyard\,” says Camille Estephan\, president of the Montreal-based company Eye of the Tiger. \nHis protege\, Quebec slugger Steven Butler (34-4-1\, 28 KOs)\, is on a mission in 2024. Ranked first in Canada at 160 lbs according to Boxrec\, it took him only 65 seconds to defeat the then #2 in the country\, Ontario’s Steve Rolls\, last March. Now that this matter is settled\, “Bang Bang” wants to climb the world rankings again\, and to do so\, he aims to definitively settle the debate with his Canadian\, Quebecois\, and Montreal compatriot\, Patrice Volny. \n“It’s nothing personal\, but our paths cross. I’ll simply show everyone who is the king of the mountain at 160 pounds in Quebec\,” says Steven Butler. \nThe task ahead\, however\, looks daunting\, as while BoxRec considers Butler the 14th best middleweight in the world\, Patrice Volny (18-1\, 12 KOs) closely follows at 20th. Like his rival\, he scored his most significant KO in his last fight\, stopping American DeAndre Ware in the 10th round last February in Halifax. However\, in June\, the former NABA and WBO NABO 160-pound champion will box in Montreal for the first time in nearly seven years\, returning home with the iron will to make an important point: \n“I’m not nicknamed ‘Vicious’ for nothing\,” asserts Patrice Volny\, equally eager to take control of the Quebecois 160-pound mountain… \nOsleys Iglesias\, Arthur Biyarslanov\, Shamil Khataev\, Jhon Orobio\, and Luis Santana will also be in action during this boxing card\, which promises to be explosive.

SUMMARY:Mbilli VS. Heffron
DESCRIPTION:The Conquest : 8 explosive bouts will go down on the 25th of May\nThe eyes of the boxing world will be fixed on Centre Gervais Auto in Shawinigan on May 25 as world contender Christian ‘Solide’ Mbilli (26-0\, 22 KOs) continues his trajectory towards the top against the powerful British slugger Mark ‘Kid Dynamite’ Heffron (30-3-1\, 24 KOs). Already ranked #2 WBC and WBA\, the Quebecer wants to send a powerful message to the boxing world\, reminding everyone that his conquest is imminent. \nFor Mbilli\, defending his WBC Continental Americas and WBA International super-middleweight (168 lb) titles will also be an opportunity to make his name resonate in the vast English sports market. ‘Solide’ has previously knocked out each of the five European opponents who crossed his path\, but will face a first duel against the United Kingdom. \nFor this grand debut\, he will need to beware of Heffron’s power\, a former British and Commonwealth champion who has stopped 80% of his opponents. The pride of Oldham has vowed to add Mbilli to the list\, believing he has what it takes to defeat the best version of the Montrealer. \nAs Mbilli approaches the summit\, Arslanbek Makhmudov (18-1\, 17 KOs) will also aim to bounce back. After his last two outings overseas in Riyadh\, on two of the biggest boxing cards ever organized\, Makhmudov secured the semi-final by returning to the arena for the first time since his heartbreaking defeat last December in Saudi Arabia. \nFor this long-awaited return\, his initial opponent was Oceanian Junior Fa\, but the latter surprised everyone by withdrawing from the fight to announce his retirement. It is thus finally the Serbian giant Miljan Rovcanin (27-3\, 18 KOs) who will try to ruin the “Lion’s” comeback. Standing at 6’4″ and 240 pounds\, Rovcanin has won his last 3 fights since his 2022 defeat at the hands of American rising star Jared Anderson. His only other conqueror? None other than the one who surprised Makhmudov six months earlier\, Agit Kabayel\, in a European championship in 2018. It will therefore be an intriguing\, but also risky\, fight for Makhmudov who – still ranked globally at 12th IBF and 14th WBC – also returns from a double fracture to his right hand. \nIn the light heavyweight division\, Mehmet Unal (9-0\, 7 KOs) will continue his Quebec tour. After fighting in Montreal\, Quebec City\, and Gatineau\, he will make his Mauritian debut in his first scheduled 10-round fight. For the occasion\, he will face the tough Texan brawler\, Rodolfo ‘Cobrita’ Gomez Jr (14-7-3\, 10 KOs)\, never stopped in 24 fights and much better than his record suggests. In his last fight\, he came within a round of surprising Egyptian world contender Ahmed Elbiali\, in addition to going the distance with top prospects such as Lester Martinez\, Diego Pacheco\, and defeating former world champion Ricardo Mayorga. \nSome of the brightest hopes of Quebec boxing will also be in attendance. EOTTM’s 2023 rookie of the year\, Wilkens Mathieu (8-0\, 5 KOs)\, will be in action for what will already be his 4th fight in 2024. In a 6-round bout at 172 pounds\, he will face a veteran unlike any he has yet faced in his young career\, Polish Przemyslaw Gorgon (17-12-2\, 6 KOs). To put things in perspective\, this duel is the very definition of “youth vs. experience\,” with on one side a 19-year-old athlete with 26 rounds of experience and on the other\, a 34-year-old boxer with 152 rounds under his belt. \nMontreal’s Christopher ‘Machine Gun’ Guerrero (10-0\, 5 KOs) will also step into the ring in a bout that could go up to 8 rounds against American Kenny Larson (7-1-1\, 5 KOs). The latter’s only defeat was indeed at the hands of American hopeful Denzel Whitley\, undefeated in 14 fights\, but in a split decision over 10 rounds. Guerrero is determined not only to outdo Whitley but also to become the first man to stop Larson. \nMoreno Fendero (5-0\, 4 KOs) will face Argentine Rolando ‘Peligro’ Mansilla (19-14-1-9 KOs) in a scheduled 6-round bout at 164 pounds. One thing is certain\, the experienced Latin American boxer will not arrive in Mauricie intimidated\, having already fought the world elite on numerous occasions\, including Roamer Angulo\, Rohan Murdock\, Kevin Lele Sadjo\, and most recently Julian Williams. Mansilla’s experience\, however\, is not his only attribute\, as he is still to this day the boxer who stopped Facundo Galovar\, who recently went the distance with two EOTTM proteges: Albert Ramirez and Mehmet Unal. On Fendero’s side\, the French-born hopeful is making his mark in Quebec. ‘Le Soldat’ will be in his 6th fight in less than 9 months since turning professional and moving to Quebec last September. \nIn a duel with a perfect record at stake\, Buckingham’s pride\, Alexandre Gaumont (10-0\, 7 KOs)\, will face Buenos Aires’ Santiago Fernandez (8-0-1\, 4 KOs). The fight will be contested in the middleweight division (160 lb) and is scheduled for 8 rounds. What to expect? Well\, to give you an idea\, the last time Alexandre Gaumont faced an undefeated opponent\, last September\, his victory won the EOTTM Fight of the Year 2023 award\, chosen by boxing fans themselves. In short\, action will not be lacking. \nFinally\, as the curtain-raiser\, in a 4-round bout at 135 pounds\, the powerful\, fast\, agile\, and explosive Jhon ‘El Tigre’ Orobio (8-0\, 8 KOs) will try to extend his more than perfect record to 9. However\, victory and knockout are not guaranteed. His opponent\, Mexican Arturo Gonzalez (13-4-3\, 5 KOs)\, has never been stopped in 20 fights.

SUMMARY:Bazinyan VS. Phinn
DESCRIPTION:Honor at stake\nEye of the Tiger and Punching Grace present: Honor at stake: Bazinyan vs. Phinn to clash on May 2nd at the Montreal Casino. \nCurrent NABF super-middleweight champion Erik Bazinyan (32-0\, 23 KOs) will attempt to defend his title for the 7th time in a local fight with global implications against Shakeel Phinn (26-3-1\, 17 KOs). Pitting the best of the North Crown against that of the South Crown of the Quebec metropolis\, this duel\, fought for the honor of the province\, is scheduled for 10 rounds and will take place on May 2nd at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal. The full card will be broadcast live on Punching Grace and ESPN+ starting at 7:00 PM. \nThe 168 lb division is undoubtedly one of the most competitive and exciting divisions currently. Therefore\, with the idea of offering boxing fans an exciting fight featuring two local athletes\, Montreal promoter Eye of the Tiger confirms the bout between his boxer\, current #2 WBA\, #3 WBC\, #3 WBO\, and #5 IBF contender\, Erik Bazinyan\, and the man nicknamed “The Jamaican Juggernaut\,” Shakeel Phinn. As Camille Estephan\, president of EOTTM\, points out\, the objective is to offer an exciting evening while also keeping his protégé active; \n“For us\, it’s out of the question for Erik to wait without fighting because of the bottleneck created by the current world champion\, Canelo Alvarez. So we continue our journey while seeking challenges for him\, and Shakeel Phinn is definitely one of them. I tip my hat to them for accepting the challenge because obviously\, the aspect of a local fight adds a lot of emotions. Boxing fans\, who demand these duels between the best in the country\, will certainly be the big winners. I can’t wait for this evening!” \nCurrently in a very favorable position in the rankings of the four federations and holding the NABF title in the division\, Erik Bazinyan must stay ready for any significant fight that may arise this year. It is therefore essential for him to maintain his current momentum. Since his fight against Ronald Ellis in October 2023\, which ended with a resounding knockout in the 6th round\, “Bzo” has sent a clear message to the division. He then dominated veteran Billie Facundo Godoy\, stopping him even earlier than anyone before\, ending the fight in the 3rd round. In short\, the Armenian-Canadian has reached another level in the past year\, demonstrating that his determination to win knows no bounds; \n“Phinn is a good fighter\, I’ve been training with him since the amateur ranks\, 11 years ago now. I respect him\, but it’s a sport\, and once in the ring\, there’s no more friendship. Believe me\, we will deliver quite a war! I will train very hard to keep my perfect record and take one step closer to the world title\,” says Erik Bazinyan. \nShakeel Phinn\, who also trains in Montreal\, but with Ian McKillop\, has not fought in the region since 2022. So\, for him\, it’s a return in front of a crowd where he will undoubtedly benefit from the support of many fans. Currently on a streak of five consecutive victories\, it is highly likely that Phinn will give everything he has in the ring to win the belt and Bazinyan’s rankings. Accustomed to going rounds and holding his own\, the Jamaican-Canadian can also cause an upset\, as he did in his last fight by knocking out his opponent in the first round. His rebellious and opportunistic side in the ring can be dangerous. \n“I’m delighted to have accepted this fight\, especially since it will be in Montreal. I haven’t fought here in front of my supporters for 2 years\, so when I was confirmed that it would be at the Casino\, I was doubly happy. I’ve had some great victories there; I love that venue. Fighting against Erik represents an excellent opportunity especially since we are #1 and 2 in Canada. It will undoubtedly be a fight that boxing fans will enjoy\,” adds Shakeel Phinn

SUMMARY:Bazinyan VS. Godoy
DESCRIPTION:A big hit at the Montreal Casino\nFor its second stop on the 2024 calendar\, Eye of the Tiger will present on January 25\, at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal\, an event that promises to be very impactful while world contender Erik Bazinyan will face veteran Billi Facundo Godoy for the NABF and WBA Continental North America titles and that Albert Ramirez will come to Quebec for the first time to face Artur Ziyatdinov. \nIn recent years\, Erik Bazinyan (31-0\, 22 KOs) has conquered the rankings by breaking into the top 5 of each federation. Currently ranked #2 WBA\, #3 WBC\, #3 WBO as well as #4 IBF\, the boxer of Armenian origin established in Montreal\, fought 3 duels in 2023 and each of them pushed him to raise his game a step further. notch. He started the year by facing an Alantez Fox coming off a world championship fight. The fight was not easy\, but the strength of character of “Bzo” allowed him to achieve a victory in 10 rounds. To end the year 2023 strong\, last October\, he won powerfully against Ronald Ellis by knocking him out. faster than anyone before\, thus signing his 31st career victory. To start 2024\, he will face the Argentinian veteran\, Billi Facundo Godoy (41-7\, 20 KOs)\, renowned for his ability to take on; \n“Despite the fact that Erik is ranked in the top 5 of all associations\, it is important to keep him active while selecting opponents who will allow him to continue his progress\, and that is exactly what Godoy represents. The Argentinian notably resisted the charges of John Ryder for 10 rounds\, which is no small thing. So it will be an interesting challenge for us\,” emphasizes Bazinyan’s coach and EOTTM development director\, Marc Ramsay. \nBilli Facundo Godoy is not the latest addition; he has more considerable experience among professionals than Ramsay’s protégé. It is with 48 fights and 299 rounds of boxing under his belt that he will come to Montreal to try to take the NABF title from Bazinyan\, in addition to trying to get his hands on the WBA Continental North America title. The latter must therefore be strategic\, precise and powerful to impose itself on “El Nino”. \nIn the evening’s semi-final\, EOTTM supporters will be able to see one of the organization’s new recruits\, light heavyweight Albert Ramirez (17-0\, 15 KOs)\, who will fight for the first time time on Quebec soil in a duel with a local flavor opposing him to Montrealer and former EOTTM boxer Artur Ziyatdinov (15-1\, 12 KOs).

SUMMARY:Beterbiev VS. Smith
DESCRIPTION:The Unified light-heavyweight world championship\nEye of the Tiger and Punching Grace present: Unified light-heavyweight world championship : Beterbiev vs. Smith. \nThe Videotron Centre will host one of the most pivotal fights of Québec boxing in recent years on Saturday\, August 19\, when Québec adoptee Artur Beterbiev\, the unified WBC\, WBO and IBF light-heavyweight champion of the world\, will defend his belts against #1 WBC contender Callum Smith. The 12-round bout\, broadcast on ESPN and Punching Grace\, will be the headliner of the gala organized by Eye of the Tiger\, in partnership with Top Rank and Matchroom Boxing. \nThe president of Eye of the Tiger didn’t even blink when deciding where to hold this championship event. Québec is a sure bet for international events\, and is no stranger to high- profile fights\, having hosted Jean Pascal vs. Bernard Hopkins in 2010\, Lucian Bute vs. Glen Johnson in 2011\, and Bute vs. James DeGale in 2015. \nThe August 19 event will be particularly significant for Artur Beterbiev (19-0\, 19 KOs)\, who has not fought in Québec since he defended his North American IBF title in 2015 against Gabriel Campillo. “Québec is my second home\, so I’m very happy to finally defend my titles on home turf”. \nSince then\, the world WBC\, IBF and WBO champion has delivered victories in quick succession all over the world\, becoming one of the best pound-for-pound boxers anywhere. None of his adversaries\, managed to overcome the immeasurable strength of the right-hander who has an imposing KO ratio of 100%. \n“One of the sport’s hardest hitters\, Artur Beterbiev will continue his conquest on August 19 in beautiful Québec City\, in a duel that is sure to be memorable\,” states Top Rank president Bob Arum. “Callum Smith has earned his spot as top contender and will not be intimidated by fighting in enemy territory\, on Artur’s home turf”. \nArtur Beterbiev knows that many fighters would like to dethrone him. True to the process that has never failed to take him to the top\, Marc Ramsay’s protégé has started to prepare for this fight with rigour\, discipline and determination. “When you’re world champion\, everyone wants the opportunity to take your belt\, and that’s especially true in my case\, with three titles at stake. I’ve already started my training camp and I’ll be ready to not only defend my belt\, but also to put on an impressive show on August 19\,” asserts Beterbiev. \nFormer WBA light-heavyweight world champion Callum Smith (29-1\, 21 KOs) will be the latest to try to stop the champion in his tracks. Smith\, whose only loss was a unanimous decision against Mexican Saul “Canelo” Alvarez\, will be the biggest challenge of Beterbiev’s career. Not only has the Brit shown he can roll with the punches\, but he also has the physical advantages of towering at 6’3” and having an enviable reach. \n“Having boxed abroad on many occasions\, including in Saudi Arabia and the United States\, I didn’t hesitate for a second when I was given the opportunity to confront Beterbiev in Québec. This is my chance to become world champion of two divisions\, and I fully intend to bring the belts home with me to Liverpool\,” adds Smith. \nThe full card for the #BeterbievSmith event will be released at a later date\, but we have already confirmed the participation of Christian Mbilli (24-0\, 20 KOs)\, WBC Continental of the Americas super-middleweight champion and current #1 in the WBC World ranking\, and of Simon Kean (23-1\, 22 KOs). Wilkens Mathieu (2-0\, 1 KOs) and Leïla Beaudoin (9-1\, 1 KO) will also be fighting in their home town for the first time.

SUMMARY:Spencer VS. Hermans
DESCRIPTION:The moment of truth\nEye of the Tiger and Punching Grace present: Mary Spencer face Femke Hermans in IBF and IBO World Championship. \nMary Spencer will have the opportunity to avenge her only career defeat inflicted on her last December by the Belgian Femke Hermans\, as the IBO world title slipped through her fingers. The stakes are high for the EOTTM protégée\, who will now have the chance to claim the vacant IBF world championship belt at 154 lbs. The showdown\, set to take place on October 11 at the Casino de Montreal\, promises to be highly explosive. Both athletes are deeply determined\, and each of them will give everything they have to come out victorious in this rematch. \nFollowing this heartbreaking loss\, Mary Spencer (7-1\, 5 KOs) showed great resilience and made significant changes within her team and training methodology. The Olympian evaluated the areas she needed to improve and sought additional resources and expertise to continue her progress. Her team is working together to optimize her training and maximize her results\, and the progress is remarkable. \nSince her victory over Spencer\, Femke Hermans (16-4\, 7 KOs) has successfully defended her IBO title twice through stoppage victories against Katarina Vistica and Maria Lindberg. SUMMARY:Bazinyan VS. Macias
DESCRIPTION:A smashing night\nEye of the Tiger and Punching Grace present: A smashing night: Bazinyan faces Macias for NABA and NABF titles. \nJose de Jesus Macias\, who has beaten both Francis Lafrenière and Steven Butler\, will attempt to extend his winning streak on June 1 at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal\, and snatch the NABF and NABA super-middleweight belts from Erik “BZO” Bazinyan in a scheduled 10-rounder. The event\, which will be simulcast on Punching Grace\, and on ESPN+ in the USA\, will also feature Steve Claggett facing off against Julian Rodriguez for the NABA super-lightweight title\, and Mary Spencer facing off against Adriana Dos Santos Araujo. \n Erik Bazinyan (29-0\, 21 KOs) is embarking upon a crucial new chapter in his career; his latest performances\, notably those against Marcelo Coceres and Alantez Fox\, have allowed him to nab a spot in the top-10 of several federations and brought him that much closer to a world championship fight in the coming months. Currently ranked 3rd in the WBC’s\, 2nd in the WBO’s and WBA’s\, the EOTTM protégé is well aware of the danger of confronting Macias at this point in his career\, but is also confident that the Mexican boxer will not be able to stand in his way. \n“Macias fractured Zewski’s jaw and gave Butler and Lafrenière a run for their money. He’s a solid opponent. But I’m younger\, I’m faster\, I’m technically strong\, and I’ll show him my ring smarts when I confront him. I’m going to learn a lot from this fight\, and it’ll be one more step toward big American bouts this year.” \nJose de Jesus Macias (28-11-4\, 14 KOs)\, who attended the Mbilli vs Gongora duel at the Casino de Montréal last March 23\, couldn’t hold back from trash-talking Bazinyan ringside\, declaring “I broke Zewski’s jaw\, I sent Butler to the mat\, and I’m going to rip off Erik Bazinyan’s head. I’m serious; I’m coming for him and for his rankings!” \n Jose de Jesus Macias boasts an impressive record of more than 250 professional fights. In addition to offering some amazing performances against Quebecois boxers\, “El Changuito” has also gone the limit against excellent pugilists in his division\, such as Erickson Lubin and Souleymane Cissokho. He has been around the block and has enough experience to go the distance with Bazinyan. Marc Ramsay\, director of development at EOTTM and Erik’s trainer\, thinks Macias will be a tough opponent: “Jose de Jesus Macias is a nightmare for all professional boxers. He has great punching power and impressive stamina. In his last fight\, he was a worthy adversary for super prospect Pavel Silyagin. He’ll be an excellent challenge for Erik.” \nSince he’s started working with trainer Mike Moffa\, Steve “The Dragon” Claggett (34-7-2\, 24 KOs) has been dazzling boxing aficionados with his explosive performances and veritable wars against his opponents. The Alberta native will be trying not only for a 6th victory in a row\, but also to snatch the NABA super-lightweight belt from American Julian Rodriguez (22-1\, 14 KOs) so as to continue his climb in the world rankings. \nHaving gotten the green light from the specialists for her hand injury\, Mary Spencer (7-1\, 5 KOs) is now fit to leap back into the ring on June 1 to finally confront Brazil’s Adriana Dos Santos Araujo (6-1\, 1 KO) after their March bout had to be postponed. This will be Spencer’s first match following her defeat in December 2022. \nThe complete #BazinyanMacias event card\, which will also feature Thomas Chabot (8-0\, 7 KOs)\, Alexandre Gaumont (7-0\, 5 KOs)\, Wilkens Mathieu (2-0\, 1 KO)\, as well as Mehmet Nadir Unal (3-0\, 3 KOs) will be announced shortly. Tickets will be on sale on Ticketmaster at www.ticketmaster.ca as of Thursday\, April 6 at 9:00 am. The one who is currently ranked first in her division in Canada in addition to having pierced the top 5 in the world at 130 lbs according to BoxRec\, hopes to solidify her position in the rankings with her performance on May 5 against Elizabeth Chavez Espinoza (3 -4-3\, 1 KO). \nOutaouais born Vanessa Lepage-Joanisse (4-1\, 1 KO) offered a powerful performance on March 23 after a little over 5 years of absence while dominating her opponent\, Princess Hairston. For her second fight since her association with EOTTM\, she will face Giovanna Gonzalez (3-3\, 1 KO) in a fight scheduled for 6 rounds. \nMehmet Nadir Unal (3-0\, 3 KOs) is forging a reputation as a heavy puncher with his 3 victories by KO in the light heavyweight division. SUMMARY:Mbilli VS. Gongora
DESCRIPTION:Two heavy-hitters collide\nEye of the Tiger and Punching Grace present: Mbilli v. Gongora for WBC Continental Americas and WBA International titles. \nAfter impressing boxing fans in 2022 with explosive performances that propelled him to the peak of the rankings\, Christian Mbilli (23-0\, 20 KOs) is looking to continue his success in 2023. Next March 23\, he will confront his first adversary of the year\, as he puts his WBC and WBA International Continental of the Americas titles on the line against heavy- hitter Carlos Gongora (21-1\, 16 KOs) in the grand finale of a Cabaret du Casino de Montréal event\, simulcast starting at 7:00 pm on www.punchinggrace.com. \nThanks to his powerful KO of Nadjib Mohammedi that went viral\, his decisive second-round victory against DeAndre Ware\, and his win in an intense 10- rounder against Vaughn Alexander in France last December\, Christian Mbilli finds himself 2nd in the WBC rankings\, 5th in the WBA rankings\, and 7th in the IBO rankings. In addition\, he is ranked 5th worldwide by the prestigious Ring Magazine. 2023 will be a pivotal year for his development and for his quest for a word championship fight\, and his opponents will leave him very little room for error. \nGongora’s impressive ring smarts\, acquired as an amateur in two Pan-American Games\, in 2007 and in 2011\, and in the 2008 Olympics\, were a solid foundation for his professional career. He won the world IBO super-middleweight title against rising star Ali Akhmedov\, and held it until December 2021\, when he lost a split decision in an explosive duel against Lerrone Richards. Currently ranked \n8th in the world by BoxRec\, the native of Ecuador is a force to be reckoned with and just as feared as Mbilli in their division at the moment. This fight could go either way\, but one thing for sure is that it will be electrifying for the fans at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal. \nIn the semi-final\, Simon Kean (22-1\, 21 KOs) will confront American Eric Molina (29-8\, 21 KOs) in a battle that is sure to be intense\, given both boxers’ striking power. Details of the undercard featuring Mary Spencer (7-1\, 5 KOs)\, Steve Claggett (33-7-2\, 23 KOs)\, Leïla Beaudoin (8-0\, 1 KO)\, and Luis Santana (8-0\, 2 KOs) will be revealed shortly.

At 6’4”\, Fox has the physical advantage in terms of height and reach as well as the stamina to be competitive throughout the rounds. These assets will force Bazinyan to remain organized and strategic throughout the fight. As the Quebecer by adoption also mentions\, this fight is all the more important for him since the death of his father last July: \n“This is a very important and special fight for me because I lost my father a few months ago and this will be my first fight without him by my side. It’s a great motivation for me mentally and I know that nothing can beat me. On February 2nd\, I want to prove that I belong in the world class fights”\, says Erik Bazinyan. \nIn the semifinals of the evening\, Yves Ulysse Jr (22-2\, 12 K.-O.) will be making his first fight of the year following his 2 excellent performances in 2022. Ulysse is happy to be back fighting in front of a partisan crowd. The card also features the return of Raphaël Courchesne (9-1\, 4KOs). I’m more motivated than ever\, and on October 27\, I’ll give it my all in the ring to give you all an unforgettable performance\,” claims Gaumont. \nO’Reilly\, for his part\, says\, “I’ve always dreamed of being a pro boxer and I’ve paid my dues at the amateur level\, so when I heard that there was an event planned in Gatineau\, I knew that it was now or never and I had to seize the day! Reaching this milestone before a hometown crowd is really special for me. This will be an experience that I’ll cherish all my life\,” adds O’Reilly.

SUMMARY:Makhmudov VS. Takam
DESCRIPTION:Shock duels for an all-powerful event\nEye of the Tiger and Punching Grace present:  Shock duels for an all-powerful event with Makhmudov and Butler in action. \nHeavyweight Arslanbek Makhmudov (14-0\, 14 KOs) defends his NABF title against veteran Carlos Takam (39-6-1\, 28 KOs). The NABF middleweight title will also be on the line when Steven Butler (30-3-1\, 25 KOs) confronts American Mark DeLuca (28-3\, 16 KOs) in the event semi-final at the Cabaret du Casino de Montréal\, simulcast on the Punching Grace Network starting at 7:00 pm. \nCurrently ranked 7th in the WBC classification and 6th in the WBA\, Arslanbek Makhmudov has continued to scale the ranks of the heavyweight division with stellar back-to-back performances. While his last victorious duel against 6’7’’ Mariusz Wach of Poland\, whom he stopped in the 6th round\, allowed him to maintain his imposing KO ratio\, it also has made it that much harder to find him opponents. \n“Finding an athlete who’ll step into the ring with Makhmudov and compel him to improve is almost impossible. While we’re proud to present this duel of international calibre to our fans\, we are sitting on the edge of our seats as to its outcome. Carlos Takam is an experienced\, seasoned boxer who packs a punch powerful enough to give Mahkmudov a run for his money. September 16 will be a crucial step in Mahkmudov’s evolution. We invite all boxing fans to be with us for the event”\, states Antonin Décarie\, general manager at EOTTM. \nCarlos Takam has fought 245 rounds in 46 bouts\, and maintained a KO ratio of 60%. The Camerounian athlete has faced off against some of the division’s biggest names: he’s gone the distance with New Zealand heavy-hitter Joseph Parker\, challenged Anthony Joshua for the IBF\, IBO and WBA titles\, gone toe-to-toe with Derek Chisora\, and defeated Jerry Forrest. These fights have allowed him to acquire valuable international experience and show him to be a fighter who gives as good as he gets. The “Lion” will certainly face a formidable opponent on September 16. \nSteven Butler has shown steady progress\, and demonstrated remarkable maturity on June 23 as he battled Brandon Brewer and ultimately won the NABF middleweight belt. The Montreal slugger\, in peak physical condition\, adroitly channeled his energy to deliver a constant volley of blows throughout 10 electrifying rounds\, in front of thrilled fans who looked on with bated breath.  \nMark DeLuca\, just as tough\, opportunistic and hardy as Brewer\, presents quite a challenge to the EOTTM protegé\, who will have to think on his feet to impose his own rhythm on his opponent. Well aware of the danger that Butler poses with his explosive style and punching power\, the Massachusetts southpaw claims to have faith in his skill and be ready to capture the NABF title. \nIn addition to the two main bouts\, the event will showcase Thomas Chabot (6-0\, 6 KOs)\, who steps back into the ring for the first time since February in a quest for his 7th victory in as many fights. In addition\, this will be the 5th fight for both Buckingham boxer Alexandre Gaumont (4-0\, 2 KOs) and Hamza Khabbaz (4-0\, 1 KOs). Jean Gardy François (2-0\, 2 KOs) will try for a KO hat trick\, while Martine Vallières-Bisson (5-1\, 1 KO) will return to the ring for the first time since her defeat at the hands of Laura Grzyb of Poland.
