SUMMARY:Iglesias VS. Silyagin
DESCRIPTION:The “Boogeyman” is back! IBO Super Middleweight World Champion Osleys Iglesias will attempt to add the vacant IBF world title to his collection when he faces undefeated contender Pavel Silyagin on April 9\, in what is expected to be the biggest boxing event ever presented at the Casino de Montréal. \n“Make no mistake about the challenge ahead of us: Pavel Silyagin is a world-class boxer. However\, we believe Osleys Iglesias has generational talent\, with the potential to be not only among the elite at super middleweight\, but among the global elite — pound-for-pound. For us\, it was unthinkable not to bring this fight home to Montréal\, where we are confident Osleys will prove us right on April 9\,” said Eye of the Tiger President Camille Estephan. \n“It will be a great battle. I know I’m facing a very experienced opponent and I thank him for accepting the challenge. But I believe this opportunity has come to me for a reason. With God by my side\, I will be ready to take what belongs to me. May the best man win — and as always\, that will be me\,” said IBO World Champion Osleys Iglesias. \n“Osleys has dedicated his entire life to this moment\, working relentlessly to earn this opportunity. This is a fantastic matchup — two elite undefeated fighters putting everything on the line for the IBF world title. We have the utmost respect for Silyagin\, who has proven himself at the highest level since his amateur days. However\, I have complete confidence in Osleys\, who in my eyes is by far the best super middleweight in the world\,” added Iglesias’ manager\, Benedikt Poelchau. \nNicknamed “El Tornado\,” Osleys Iglesias (14-0\, 13 KOs) has built a reputation as one of the most feared fighters in boxing in recent years. Since joining Eye of the Tiger in March 2024\, the Cuban southpaw has delivered impressive stoppage victories over Marcelo Coceres\, Evgeny Shevedenko\, Sena Agbeko\, and Petro Ivanov — all inside the distance. In November\, Iglesias secured the most significant win of his career by stopping Vladimir Shishkin in the 8th round to become the IBF mandatory challenger\, at the time when the title was held by Saul “Canelo” Alvarez. \nFollowing Canelo’s surprise defeat to Terence Crawford and Crawford’s subsequent retirement\, the IBF title became vacant. After Alvarez\, Munguia\, Sheeraz\, and Williamson declined negotiations to face Iglesias\, the opportunity ultimately went to IBF’s No. 7-ranked contender\, Pavel Silyagin (16-0-1\, 7 KOs). The 32-year-old Russian is not one to shy away from challenges. Five of his 16 victories have come against previously undefeated opponents. In his most recent and most significant win last July\, he handed Argentine puncher Pablo “Pacman” Corzo his first loss in 24 fights\, dominating him over 10 rounds. Still unbeaten in 17 professional bouts\, Silyagin now aims to become world champion and upset another heavy puncher in Iglesias — in his first fight outside of Russia. \n“When I found out about the official announcement of the IBF title fight with Iglesias — I saw my real chance to leave a mark in history of boxing. Put my name in Russian boxing history. To be honest\, I still can’t believe it’s all real! From what I know — Osleys has got a strong punch and throws punches from different angles regularly. It’s going to be a long and tough fight — before it\, we’ll definitely go with the team into the mountains to build up stamina\, we’ll pay extra attention to that\,” said IBF No. 7 contender Pavel Silyagin. \nAlso in action that evening\, Témiscouata’s former unified world title challenger Leïla Beaudoin (13-2\, 2 KOs) will make her long-awaited return in Quebec. Buckingham puncher Alexandre Gaumont (13-1\, 9 KOs) will look to bounce back from the only loss of his pro career. Montreal’s Luis Santana (15-0\, 7 KOs) will compete for the vacant NABA lightweight title. Eye of the Tiger prospect Erik Israyelyan (4-0\, 2 KOs) will fight in his first scheduled six-round bout. The newest recruit of EOTTM\, Keven Beausejour (2-0\, 2 KOs)\, will look to keep his perfect record intact. Finally\, Montreal’s Stéphane Fondjo (14-2-1\, 9 KOs)\, coming off an explosive fight against Steven Butler\, will also return to action.

SUMMARY:Ramirez VS. Richards
DESCRIPTION:WBA interim light heavyweight world champion Albert Ramirez and former British world champion Lerrone Richards will finally settle their score on June 4 in the main event of a card presented by Eye of the Tiger at the Casino de Montreal. \n“Albert Ramirez holds the interim world title\, but Lerrone Richards has the notoriety and reputation of being one of the most avoided boxers in England. Both have a lot to gain and a lot to lose\, but we are confident that with a victory\, Albert Ramirez’s name will be in all discussions for major fights with Bivol\, Beterbiev\, or Benavidez\,” said EOTTM president Camille Estephan. \nIn August 2025\, Albert Ramirez (22-0\, 19 KOs) captured the WBA interim title by stopping top-10 contender Jerome Papellone in the 7th round of a bout held in front of more than ten thousand spectators in Libya and broadcast globally on DAZN. Ramirez was then scheduled to defend his title on February 5 against Richards before being hospitalized on an emergency basis just 24 hours before the fight. \nHowever\, Ramirez’s absence did nothing to diminish his reputation as one of the best light heavyweights in the world. In addition to his interim crown\, he remains ranked #2 and #4 in his division by BoxRec and Ring Magazine. Now back at 100%\, he intends to make up for lost time by finally settling matters with Richards. \n“Being a champion isn’t just about fighting\, it’s also about knowing how to handle the moments when you can’t. Not being able to step into the ring in February was difficult\, but it now allows me to come back even stronger. On June 4\, there’s no more waiting. I am the champion\, and I’m coming to show it to everyone—Richards first\,” said interim world champion Albert Ramirez. \nIn the opposite corner\, Lerrone Richards (19-1\, 4 KOs) has remained patient over the past four months. The former IBO super middleweight world champion\, who notably defeated former world champions such as Carlos Góngora and Giovanni De Carolis\, says he is more motivated than ever to pull off an upset\, sharing the same ambitions as his opponent. \n“I am delighted to be back fighting at world level. The cancellation of the fight was unfortunate\, but I’m glad it has been rescheduled and looking forward to the encounter. The date has changed\, but the goal stays the same. Albert Ramirez is a top opponent\, and I know what I bring to the table. It’s two of the best in the world at 175 lb facing each other. The goal is about becoming interim champion and putting myself in position to becoming a WBA world champion at 175 lb\,” said Lerrone Richards\, the WBA’s 9th-ranked contender \nAlso in action on June 4\, NABF light heavyweight champion and Tokyo Olympic medalist Imam Khataev (11-1\, 10 KOs) will make his return to Montreal. Two-time Olympian Dzmitry Asanau (12-0\, 6 KOs)\, currently WBC Continental and IBF Intercontinental lightweight (135 lb) champion\, will also put his top-3 world ranking on the line. The electrifying WBC Continental super lightweight (140 lb) champion Jhon Orobio (17-0\, 15 KOs) will aim for a fourth title defense in under a year. In a fight initially scheduled for last March\, Montreal’s Christopher Guerrero (16-0\, 9 KOs) will defend his WBC Continental welterweight (147 lb) title against hard-hitting Gatineau fighter Samuel Rodriguez (12-0\, 11 KOs). Undefeated prospect Avery Martin Duval (15-0-1\, 8 KOs) and Canada’s only Olympic medalist in nearly 30 years\, Wyatt Sanford (6-0\, 2 KOs)\, will also be in action. \nEOTTM will announce an eighth fight in the coming weeks.
