Victor Tremblay will soon be back in action for the second time with Eye of the Tiger, and let me tell you, his first outing was a quick one. The only thing you could perhaps criticize was the quality of his opponent, but this time around, he will face a French boxer with a strong amateur career in Kesny Joseph.
“I’m happy more than anything else. He’s better than my last opponents, he has a good amateur record, but the goal remains the same. If my opponent is better, it’s just an opportunity for me to show that I’m better too. And September 3rd is my birthday, so we’re going to give ourselves something nice as a gift,” he said.
Honestly, it’s hard to find much to criticize about the young Boisbriand boxer. With every fight, he shows noticeable progress. As I mentioned, the quality of his opponents remains the only thing you could question, but this upcoming matchup will be a real opportunity to determine where he stands.

A Team That Speaks for Itself
It should be noted that Brian McIntyre only works with elite-level boxers. If he is now in Tremblay’s corner, it’s because he sees something in him, not simply because he thinks he’s a good guy.
It is also an opportunity for Victor to train alongside some of the highest-level professionals in the sport. During his training camps, he works alongside boxers such as Terence Crawford and Lester Martinez, providing him with a unique learning experience.
If there are still doubts about his abilities, Tremblay plans to set the record straight on September 3rd, although the opinions of others are not something he concerns himself with.
“I have no doubt that people know I’m good. I’ve boxed four rounds over three fights. It’s good for my health, that’s for sure, but I still need to get rounds in to improve. And I’m more used to boxing people who know how to box. When I beat him, it’s just going to make me better,” added the Quebec boxer.

An Ambition He Makes No Secret Of
Victor Tremblay is also not shy about sharing his ambitions. For him, the goal is clear: become world champion as quickly as possible. He wants to be the next fighter to put Quebec on the map across the boxing world.
“I love boxing, but the faster it happens, the better. We progress faster and I’m saving myself for the bigger fights that we’ll be part of in the coming years. We’ll see. If I catch him, I catch him,” he said.
Humble nonetheless, he says he is happy to perform in front of the Montreal crowd in his next fight, but insists that he does not underestimate anyone.
Having already fought in the United States in just his third professional appearance, he is gaining experience that only a small minority of 21-year-old fighters can say they have.
The same will be true for Kesny Joseph on September 3rd. He is coming from Europe to face Victor, and the Quebecer recognizes that if Joseph is making the trip, he clearly believes in his chances.
“I’m here to bring him back to reality,” declared Victor Tremblay.
“And the last time I boxed a French champion, I got robbed in France. It’s time for revenge,” he concluded.
